Terms of Service

1. The service

DubDub is a social app for sharing what you watch and sending direct show recommendations to people you know. It is operated by Close Enough Softworks ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using DubDub you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion takes effect after a 14-day grace period, after which your content is permanently removed. After deletion we may retain minimal account identifiers (never your content) to prevent abuse and impersonation.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you post (ratings, notes, recommendations, your name and avatar). You grant us a limited license to store and display it as needed to operate the service; private notes are stored but visible only to you. Recommendations are delivered only to the people you send them to, and what others can see of your activity is configurable in Settings.

4. Acceptable use

Don't spam, harass, impersonate, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the service. We may throttle, suspend, or remove accounts that violate these rules or abuse the recommendation system.

5. Third-party data

Film and TV metadata and posters are provided by TMDB. DubDub uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Links to IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Wikipedia, and JustWatch lead to third-party sites we don't control.

6. Disclaimers

DubDub is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
